MediaInk Claims Success in Branding and Marketing of EssexEdge™ for Essex Corporation
Cape Canaveral, Florida - MediaInk Corp., the advertising, marketing, and public relations company of parent organization 321MediaGroup of Cape Canaveral, Florida, claimed a major success in its partnership with Essex Commercial Communications Products Division for the branding and rollout of Essex's new telecommunications consumer product portfolio, EssexEdge™.
For the launch of Essex's first venture into the consumer marketplace, MediaInk developed a full marketing communications package, featuring: a branding campaign, logo, and taglines for the portfolio now known as EssexEdge™; a newly designed website based on the new brand and look; three informative print brochures based on the new brand; and a full page advertisement for Lightwave magazine. Working together as a single entity, Essex presented all of the branded collateral materials at the culmination of the campaign: The 31st European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication (ECOC).
MediaInk also designed and constructed a trade show booth for the EssexEdge™ rollout at the ECOC, the largest optical communication conference and exhibition in Europe, held in Glasgow, Scotland, September 2005.
According to MediaInk Corp. General Manager Tim Iliff, "This was one of the most exciting projects I've worked on in a long time. Assisting a highly technical telecommunications company who generally works with government entities enter the consumer marketplace was a challenge, but it was tremendously successful. These guys were a hit at the ECOC, and the EssexEdge™ product line is now on the market and making significant inroads for Essex in the highly competitive data and telecommunications market."
MediaInk began working with the Essex Commercial Communications Products Division in May 2005. At that time, Essex had a portfolio of optical telecommunications products to market to the consumer world, but they needed an expert to help get their product to market and make market-penetration a reality. Iliff and his team at MediaInk immediately set to work and offered EssexEdge™ as a brand for the range of products which includes a family of transponders and transceivers.
"We came up with the brand, and then a logo for the products based on an interesting, dynamic type treatment, and a color scheme based on theories of optronics," continued Iliff. "We delivered some taglines for the new product line, and then designed and delivered three brochures and a trade advertisement for which we did their ad buying. We designed a website, which our sister company, Communications Concepts, Inc., currently hosts. And, of course, we designed the booth for the ECOC which we were really proud of and which garnered a lot of attention at the ECOC."
"Essex had a great idea and their engineers were obvious experts in the field, but they weren't sure how to reach their target market. They came to us to get their product on the map, and we did."
Though the product EssexEdge™ has been rolled out, The Essex Commercial Communications Products Division will continue to retain MediaInk as their marketing communications agency.
